Atlanto-Dinarid.

he can pass in portugal? I think the facial structure is very Italian. pigmentation apart, could also be with blacks hair and dark eyes

I don't think he fits in Portugal.. or Spain. He is too Germanic oriented with a notable Dinaric element that gives him an Italic look.

I think anyone who isn't too Slavic looking, too Baskid looking, or mixed with other races can pass as Sicilian.

He wouldn't be typical, but he certainly would exist.

There is a common "Sicilian look" IMO (which is akin to a Greek islander look/classical Greek or Greco-Roman look) but this guy fits as one of the lighter types.

This guy would be more common in the North of Italy know?

His facial structure is more southern but he is lighter than average.

Slycooper

Sikelot said he had more of a southern look but was lighter then average. Thats what I mean't that he has a southern look but Northern Pigmentation. Thats what I mean't by mix

Sikeliot

More southern Italians have green eyes rather than blue. Blue eyes are rare I have been told.

Depends on what you call "uncommon". To me, anything less than 10% is uncommon. I don't know what percentage of southern Italians are blonde, but I would bet blue (NOT green) eyes are uncommon.

non vedo quale sia il problema essere mediterranei, il fatto è che qua dentro c'è una tendenza a considerare il mediterraneo una sorta di europeo di serie b

I don't know what percentage of southerners have that coloring. I was just giving my criteria for "uncommon".. less than 10%. So whatever percentage of blue eyes is there, if it's under 10% then I would, by my standards, say they are uncommon.

Toretto
12-13-2012, 06:13 PM
blue are not really common... and then?

Sikeliot
12-13-2012, 06:14 PM
That was my point. Less than 10% = uncommon. So, when you or someone can cite a number of southern Italians with blue eyes, I will be able to tell you if I consider that number uncommon or not.

I do not know how much is the percentage is low compared to Scandinavia. but in my hometown of light and blue eyes I see a lot of ... 30/40% (hazel, green, blue)
