I think they look surprisingly similar compared to the other Campanians I have seen who almost always seem to have central Italian and West Med tendencies in larger amount.

I think of all the main southerners, Campanians have the greatest West Med pull -- I mean there is Western European/Norman/Celtic etc. in Sicilians and whatnot but not so much proper West Med.

I know on some calcs, I can score heavily Iberian. I think its from a deeper point in time though and not necessarily due to a recent Iberian influence.

I was reading an article which claimed a lot of southern italians may have jewish ancestry as a lot converted during the 1500s

Yes, i'm pretty convinced about that now. But I don't think I look really MENA. I live in a MENA neighborhood, but I have to say some North Africans aproached me like I was from Morroco or Algeria in my lifetime..But in Greece they thought I was Italian, and gave me Italian menu's all the time. I think it's different everywhere.

I live in a MENA neighborhood, but I have to say some North Africans aproached me like I was from Morroco or Algeria in my lifetime..But in Greece they thought I was Italian, and gave me Italian menu's all the time. I was in Croatia and Bosnia last year, and there I saw some people in the coastal areas with darker med like features also like you'd see in southern Italy, who weren't Gyspies or whatever.

There are obviously these dark types on coastal Croatia, its no mystery. The problem is that you are however Dutch/Frisian/Italian as you claim, reside in Netherlands and people mistook for a North African even.

From the beginning i've been very sincere.A few days before I got the rawdata I got the conformation that my father could probably be a Neapolitan, and my first match was someone from there. Most of my Italian matches are from that region, so I believe it's a 99,9 % chance that I am half Italian. Not to forget my paternal haplogroup is also from Italy.
