Oh, right..um...yeah, the Amerindian influence makes Euro classification in terms of sub-races difficult, but...to echo everyone else, there is some Med in there that is evident.

Right. I must agree that the "Taino" element in many Carrib populations (save perhaps of course, Haitians...perhaps Dominicans as well) is seemingly quite significant.

I wonder how the genetics of most "white" Puerto Ricans differ from those of most "white" Cubans. I would guess on the average that most Cubans considered "white" would be more often Almost all European. My girlfriend is Cuban, and looks pure Spanish...she's even lighter than me most of the time (though she tans a bit more gracefully in the warm months), and has a very Med face.

White Puerto Ricans have very Iberian phenotypes but many if not the majority are more Iberian/North African in phenotype and look very Canarian while Cubans can look very Spanish.

Similar to Eva Longoria and probably reflecting same admixture levels. Spanish is the major element, but Amerindian influence is profound. By Puerto Rican standards she is white (since anyone is white unless showing negroid influences). And the bottom line is:
