I don't know much about French colonization and mixing but French Canadians are generally closer to British than Spanish

Put 2 photos of a group of English and Northern French together and 99% of people wont be able to distinguish the two.

Really? because the northern French usually have more alpine and med traits and the English more brunn, borreby and saxon traits, there is a minority of northern French that looks English but only a minority.
