Article 5 provides that if a NATO Ally is the victim of an armed attack, each and every other member of the Alliance will consider this act of violence as an armed attack against all members and will take the actions it deems necessary to assist the Ally attacked.

Article 5 is foundation of NATO and only reason Baltic states are in. In case it wouldn't be honored, bye bye NATO and US geopolitical domination in the world.

Crimea should remain in Russia, it was never truly Ukrainian anyway. I don't see why should Ukraine cede Donbass to Russia.

And I don't see why Ukraine should at all be a separate country from Russia. They should join. The whole existence of an independent Ukraine is founded on the imgaination that it was never intended to be taken serious. The language should be protected, though. But in fact the Ukraine has been more intolerant in language questions than Russia.

Donbass had Ukrainian ethnic majority before the war and they overwhelmingly voted for indipendent Ukraine in 1991. It's rightful Ukrainian land.

It still has an Ukrainian ethnic majority, at least how the ethnicity is counted in Russia. You are Ukrainian on paper and mostly Russian speaking (in Donbass). Maybe you then are Ukrainian. But these Ukrainians do not want to get their Russian language forbidden by the folks in Kiew and this is why they had a a civil war since 2014.

Whole coup was illegal and US backed (business as usual, most of these colored revolutions are imported by western interest groups) it doesn't mean rage of Ukrainians was unjustified. Guy who won elections won them also due to promise to get closer to EU but failed to deliver those promises.

But isn't that typical even for democracy? The one who promises most and even incompatrible things gets elected and does not fulfill his promises. Zelensky was elected with the promise to end the war in the Donbass, which he also didn't care for before the Russian invasion.

And most important thing showing ill intentions of Russia towards Ukraine; Ukraine gave up its nukes in 1990s in exchange for security guarantees by Russia. Russia broke this guarantees. If Ukraine had nuclear arsenal, there would be no war so them relying on Russia proved fatal mistake.

True, because I don't know the facts. If there are orphan children from Russian-orientated parents, to which safe haven shall they evacuate them? Send them for re-education to Kiew to those who likely killed their parents or leave them in the war area?
