What is referred to as "Aryan" today is a non-racial linguistic group associated with speakers of Indo-European languages. However, historically, Aryans are identified with the Yamnaya people, and genetically, the Yamnaya people's heritage is most prominent among Slavs, Norwegians, Danes, and similar populations. There is Aryan ancestry present in Indian and Iranian societies as well, but they also possess the DNA of "Iranian Neolithic Farmers" and AASI, which represents the genetic legacy of South Asian Neolithic farmers. This indicates that Aryans migrated to these regions, spreading their language and to some extent their genetics, thus dispersing across Eurasia. Consequently, apart from East Asians, Africans, and Southern Arabs, most populations carry Aryan genetic heritage. Looking at the modern population genetics of Iran, for instance, Persians primarily exhibit CHG (Caucasian Hunter-Gatherer) and Iranian (Zagrosian) farmer ancestry, with Aryan genetics representing a minor component.
