I dont agree . Football teams are a good representation of argentinean phenotype variation . Football is the most popular sport in Argentina where you can earn more money easily even playing in second or third divition , and everybody want to play it. Football teams are by far more representive phenotipically than basketball, rugby , tenis or hockey teams where middle or high classes are overrepresented , and low clases are underepresented.

Mestizos are underepresentes in most sports because they are phisically weaker for sports like rugby or basketball , and they only play football. If people of middle class only want to study , I dont know why they play tenis, basketball or rugby, and mestizos dont play sports apart from football.If you are saying was true , then mestizos should be majority in all argentinean sports team because whites only want to study.

The underrepresentation in football teams are mainly with teams full of mulatos or blacks like Colombia , Ecuador , Honduras or even Brazil and Uruguay when they are not so many in those countries, or the underepresentation of indomestizos in Mexico or Guatemala football teams. But in my opinion chilean, argentinean and paraguayan teams are a good representation of average phenotype .

above 60% of the young football players comes from lower income neighborhoods. and even the spanish TV emphasises this. south american slums are a seedbed for profesional players.

Nobody is denying the important Amerindian component in various sectors of Mexico, but that is just one side of the coin, honey.

exactly...they are over represented by a lot.

nobody says rugbiers are representative of the whole country..we are just saying that many sports should be posted to cover all the social clases..

the problem for us is that some people think that the football team is a perfect representation of the country when it isnt so..even if it cointains a minority of people of the middle class
