The word "Nationalism" in Austria today is associated with pan-Germanism and N*zis. The current right-wing organized in the FPÖ are patriotic and they have no ambitions to build any Empire of the past (k.u.k Monarchie or German Empire). They just want to restrict immigration, but believe in the "good, integrated foreigner" that might vote for them. That's the mentality of most right-wingers in Austria. After the dissolution of the Austro-Hungarian there were many rivaling political parties organized in 3 major camps(Christian Social Party, Social Democrats and various folkish groups). In interwar Austria they had paramilitaries and were fighting for political supremacy. Left-wing wanted to unify with Germany(Weimar Republic) too not only Austrian NSDAP. This is a bit of an historic overview. We know how the story went on...
But I'd say majority of Austrian patriots are law and order types and believe in this small, irrelevant state with no historic task. N*zis are marginalized due to legal reasons and monarchists irrelevant in the political landscape.
