I think the longest train journey in Portugal is from Vila Real de Santo António to Valença do Minho. About 6 hours, so no big deal. However, the longest train journey in the world starts in Portugal and ends in Singapore, 18,755 kilometers, taking 21 days and crossing 13 countries.
