Default Death Cult Has Spread Along Texas Border

Image of Santa Muerte in an herb shop in Brownsville, Texas.

WESLACO – The worship of Santa Muerte, the Mexican grim reaper, has exploded in the (Rio Grande) Valley.

She’s considered a saint by some, satanic by others. The U.S. government's labeled the religious movement as a "death cult."

Very interesting! Mexicans', unlike the Egyptians, pre-colonial society was never wiped out. Today there's still a lot of remnants of Aztec society that is ingrained in modern Mexican society while they may be fragments but goes to show that their old culture has stood the test of time.

This is predictable. Modern Mexicans are closer genetically to their pre-colonial forebears whilst modern Egyptians are much more the descendants of the colonialists.

No, it's because the Aztec heritage was never completely wiped out merely Europeanized and Christianized. Whereas ancient Egyptians were totally wiped out as a result of numerous conquests of Egypt by Persians, Greeks, Romans and Arabs; Egypt of today holds no real link with ancient Egyptians since Egypt is just another Arab country today.

They are a highly superstitious bunch of people who in my experience are not too susceptible to reason or sophisticated thought. They have remains of their old culture because they are largely unable to assimiliate in a highly cultivated European society.

Yeah, except that would be retarded. Last I checked, European-inspired societies look nothing like mestizo-inspired ones, you dullard.

And last I checked, Europeans could assimilate into their own culture.

An almost entirely different group of people now live in Egypt. If they were the same group of people vis a vis Mexico and the Aztecs then I wager there would be a lot more similarities between ancient and modern Egyptian cultures; regardless of who had conquered the region. Culture is in some parts an expression of the genetics of the people.

Yeah, absolutely. Ancient Egyptians have next to nothing that binds them with the Arabs now living in Egypt. It's really interesting how everything works out. The rise of Islam and the decline of the Byzantine Empire only paved the way for Arab domination of Egypt, once a European stronghold, more specifically, a Christian stronghold in Africa bordering the Levantine and the Arabian peninsula.
