Well, maybe, someone like Reagan will appear out of the blue to satisfy Smaland. The fact he had to say "someone like Reagan" instead of naming someone means exactly what it means: there is no one else.
He's not alone in that kind of thinking if that's the case. Some nostalgic Democrats want RFK's son to be the new JFK, but none of them seem to be in the man's own family of deluded or dishonest partisan hacks, who actually say that the *selected resident* is the "new RFK"! What loyal siblings. Is there inbreeding in the Kennedy family that makes them mentally ill?

Reagan wasn't even a good president. He gave illegal aliens amnesty. I believe he was the first to do so. Half the time he didn't know what was going on (Iran-Contra affair, for example).

Default " Inside Jeffrey Epstein and Donald Trump’s Epic Bromance "

"Jeffrey Epstein (left) and Donald Trump together at the Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, in 1997". The photo and the caption were both posted at a 2019 article in The Daily Mail. The following quotation is part of the article linked to below.

    ...
Trump later recalled Epstein in those days (prior to 2002). 'Terrific guy,' he famously told New York magazine. 'He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it—Jeffrey enjoys his social life.'

Really? I don't see it. What is Trump's dark side? Evidence please. Hearsay/accusations are not evidence.

Trump is the people's champion and the people's weapon, according to the polls.

Trump is the strongest Republican candidate since the 1980s,

the strongest possible Republican candidate in the era of rigged elections.

Wake up boomer, Reagan is long dead, and so is the Reagan ideology since 9/11.

You are showing how profoundly out of touch with reality you are.

Fiscal conservatism, traditional moral values, and peace through strength are all fantasies.

These principles have all been betrayed and murdered by Republican politicians 20 years ago.

-Fiscal conservatism is a fantasy because the debt and deficit is extreme,
and keeps increasing even with Republicans in Congress.
-Republicans never pass any serious budget cuts or reforms when in power.
-Inflation is killing the middle class, while increasing interest rates will kill the economy.
-Free trade and empowering the corporations has only led to offshoring and hollowing out industry,
enriching the elite and hurting average Americans.
-And Republicans always allow/encourage the size of government to increase drastically, especially since the Bush years.
-Limited government has been a fantasy throughout the entire War on Terror,
not to mention the Cold War, World War 2, and the Great Depression.

-Social conservatism is a fantasy because most Republicans cannot/will not do anything to oppose gay marriage/abortion/etc.
-Mainstream Republicans always pretend to be against illegal immigration or abortion or other social issues,
but do nothing once in power.
-Trump and his allies have strongly expressed the desire to close the border and greatly restrict transgenderism though.

-Peace through strength is a fantasy because the US is weaker than ever, overextended and losing wars around the world.
-US foreign policy (and NATO expansion) is merely a corporate welfare program for defence contractors.
-Meanwhile American intelligence agencies are increasingly turned against American citizens, including President Trump.

-And global American military strength is fundamentally incompatible with the idea of limited government.

Republic or Empire? Which will it be?

@CosmoLady: haven't several Republican states repealed Roe vs Wade?

    What a shit show honestly.
At this point I’m thinking of illegally crossing the border into Mexico.

If you held a gun to my head, I’d pick big daddy Trump.

From what I understand, the Supreme Court repealed Roe vs Wade, which was unconstitutional:
rights not in the constitution are at the discretion of the states.

Republicans at the state level (in some states) may indeed be genuinely conservative.
But at the federal level, they are controlled opposition.

At the federal level the two-party system seems to be more fantasy than reality,
both parties agree on all the major issues (before Trump came along).
The Democrats are the party of power (Blue Team), and the Republicans are the designated opposition (Red Team),
there is a veneer of choice, but the people have no real choice, both parties are mostly the same when in power.
The Democrats destroy the country slightly more quickly, that is all.

The Republicans fundraise off of conservative moral outrage, drain the pockets of gullible evangelical Christians,
and then do little once in power.

Trump has done far more in a short period of time than any conservative Republican,
which shows how fake they are and always were.

Ironically many American boomers are retiring/fleeing to Mexico,
which says a lot about the American dream and cost of living and quality of life.

Meanwhile 9 MILLION known illegals, mostly male, have already entered the US under Biden.

Only Trump has the fortitude to stop this! Godspeed President Trump!

The Roman Empire collapsed from mass migration/invasion and weak leadership

You hit the nail on the head.
At the end of the day, most people will do what’s best for themselves and their money will go a lot farther in Mexico.
Who wouldn’t want to spend their retirement sipping margaritas on a beach?

It’s not only boomers though, I’ve noticed a lot of millennials who have the luxury to work remote, will move to Mexico and Central America.
