Not wanting to be argumentative, but who is saying Western Scotland is inferior, and Eastern Scotland is superior and Anglo-Saxon? I'm not aware of a great divide.

Yes, sure. I don’t disagree. Nevertheless, despite the utter brilliance attributes you are giving him. He missed something. Due to America’s historical past, he tends to attribute any dominant group in a society as “white” while the oppressed group in a society as “black”. Why do you Yankees always do that?

Most don't. Thomas Sowell's point is that urban Blacks' ghetto culture is rooted in rural Whites' redneck culture, which is one of his few beliefs with which I don't agree.

Really? I think they don't look distinct from other Europeans. Rather, they look "ultra European". The other people who also look "ultra European" are the Norwegians, Icelanders, Swedes and Danes.
