Slavs vs Germanics in Austria

In University a leftist feminist lgbtq rights advocate teacher said slavs are more native to austria then germanics and that austrians are slavs.

I think it it doesnt even matter really anymore since slavs are very white themselfes and people desire slavs now, but in context of second world war where hitler competed with slavs for living space maybe the leftist teachers said it because she is leftist.

Being native = feeling at home. It doesn’t matter how many generations your ancestors were in the country. My ancestors were in Turkey just for 2 generations but I never felt like I am not a native here.

Austrians seem to have a lot of celtic and slavic affinities for sure. Of course that person was willing to declare it for her own reasons.

This is the same among my relatives, and they are also fond of Austria. They say that Austria took the good parts of both the Balkans and central Europe (politically) and found a balance. The Austro-Hungarian empire's conquest of Bosnia wasn't seen as an occupation but rather solidarity. I have ancestors who fought in the Austro-Hungarian army, against the Russian Empire, during WW1.
