The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution is a 2009 book by british biologist and famous atheist Richard Dawkins
It sets out the evidence for biological evolution, and is Dawkins's 10th book, following his best-selling critique of religion The God Delusion (2006) and The Ancestor's Tale (2004), which traced human ancestry back to the dawn of life.
Dawkins understands his work as "a personal summary of all the evidence that the 'theory' of evolution is in fact a fact as indisputable as a scientific fact can be."
The author describes that this is essentially how evolution works, except the selection process happens naturally.
Even though the world is made up of an extremely wide variety of species in a wide variety of environments, if you trace each species back far enough, you will see that there are common ancestors that link all species together.
Dawkins sees the book's target group as what he calls history deniers.
It`s an easy, interesting read.
Dawkins has a good comprehensible style.
