I am studying in İzmir for 3-4 years and here I have met a lot of people from different Aegean provinces of Turkiye such as Aydın, İzmir, Manisa, Denizli, etc. Although Aegean region is genetically the most East Eurasian admixed part of Turkiye, most people I met there is less Turanid-looking than people I know who are from Central Anatolia. Aegean Turks (whose ancestors are also from Aegean region of Turkiye for at least 2-3 generations) mostly look East Mediterranid, Dinaro-Mediterranid, North Pontid, Alpine and Alpine-Med. There are also Turanid or Turanid-influenced people but I can say Central Anatolian Turks I met are more Turanid-looking than them.
Am I right? If yes, is there any specific reason for that?
