I am Michael from Western Germany. I’ve been looking for a Forum like this for quite a while.

I have always been very interested in history, and for the last 5-6 years also in the subject of ancestry & DNA. At that time my dad found an old booklet with the lineage of my paternal grandmother. From that moment on, I started gathering some more information…which was pretty easy. It turned out that I am largely descended from old local farmer families, which are very easy to trace because there are so many documented entries. I traced more than 50 direct Ancestors from paternal side and also 20+ from the maternal side. So multiple twigs continuously back to the 16-1700s.

So I found out that i am pretty much unique. I am (predominantly) one of the very few native people before this region became industrialized and transformed into one of the the most populated / most dense / most migrated / and kinda most industrialized & polluted Metro regions in Western and Wentral Europe.

btw: I still need some help with some settings and features, before I dive deeper into this forum.

Before i will dive into the real stuff i will start some fun topics about insignificant matters like personal prefferences in music, cars and stuff. Just to get to know you better and getting a feeling for this forum
