There was a minor I2a bottleneck in the early medieval Ukraine after the early Slavs had already moved westwards and settled in the territories of modern day Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, East Germany. These bottlenecked carriers of I2a in the period of Kievan Rus then brought it to Belarus, Russia and Lithuania.
The frequency of I2a among Baltic-speaking Lithuanians is 6% while among Slavic-speaking Poles it's 5,5%. The reason of this is because Lithuanian tribes had dense contacts with Kievan Rus, in particular with the areas of modern day Belarus.
