Mortimer is right that it makes no sense to call so called Hamites like Somalis and other Horn Africans as Caucasians, just because they have some Caucasian admixture. At most they are dark mulatto-like.

You unfortunately didn't really grasp what you were reading. I guess you have to have some basic knowledge of African ethnology to understand what Seligman is getting at. Suffice to say, the original Hamites were fully Caucasoid and Negroids developed nothing independently.

Secondly, i dont despise Balkaners. Well of course Balkaners had a little bit lower reputation in Turkey due to communism era but its practically not a thing anymore. For example, we can hear VERY bad words for Syrians and other MENAs here but i have never heard such things about Balkan or EEs. If being smarter means being better at maths, sciences, coming up with new technology then yes, Whites are smarter than Blacks (on average). You just need to look at the world with open eyes and be honest to yourself. There are things blacks are better at though.

But the elephant in the room is: where does one race end and another one begin? Europeans and SSAs are pretty distinct and easy to tell apart. However, when you talk about "Whites", do you include Eurasians like Chuvashes, Bashkirs and Tatars, or West Asians like Chechens, Ossetians, Georgians, Armenians, Azeris and Turks? And where do Jews fit into this?

Not a great deal, but my point is that it is hypocrisy on steroids to blame all of the Balkans' problems on either the Ottomans or the Soviets, yet people like to deflect when the iniquities and cruelty of European rule in the Global South are brought up.

The thing is that Global South was colonized by more advanced people. Cruel, but more advanced.

Forgive me for my ignorance, but much of the time I actually cannot (easily) tell apart Balkanites and the not-so-swarthy Kavkazians. I'd certainly find it harder to tell apart a Bulgarian and an Ossetian than a Bulgarian and an Irishman.

This doesn't mean that Kavkaz people are some darker version of Romanians and Bulgarians. I was objecting to that, not against claims that we have some overlap with them.
