Excuse me? Basically when get to know people it's anonymous anyways, so it always starts as anonymous. Unless you are able to 100% guess all the character right away by the looks. Not to mention someone could simply have a hard time or a hard day and look less attractive than usual. And they say women are empathetic...

I also believe looks is significant, but not the most important. I would start off without seeing the person which actually helps to better know each other. I believe we can more openly talk with each other this way. This type of websites work for people like me and I am aware I am in minority in this matter, you prove the point majority of people have yet there are many ways dating fitting to different personalities. We consider similar criteria for a relationship but we put different priority levels on them.

Your post suggested everyone has to like the way person looks is the most important way in order to be in successful relationship(but you know we grow old and we won't be fit and athletic forever...), it was the only thing which bothered me, but I guess I simply misunderstood you back then.

I think looks are what opens the door for 99.9% of people.

I also don't think "looks fade" unless the person makes choices of their own free will to become obese or get face tattoos or whatever, normal people are not offended by people the same age as them showing signs of ages.

If someone is fine not considering looks as an important or the most important part of dating, this is fine, but they are truly in the minority. Same as men who like fat women or women who would be with a man who has no job - true minority thinking there lol.
