I have a close friend who's a full Csango, his YDNA hg is J2a1h (J-L24). I am J2a1b3 myself (Hutsul paternal side).

it seems J2 is surprisingly popular in Moldova region among non-Romanian ethnic groups.

my unmixed Romanian friends who tested (local Moldovans by region) are both R1a.

I know another couple of Romanian Moldovans who tested and they are I2a and R1a. these two seem to be the most popular in Moldova region in general (I don't know about Rep. Moldova)

Huh, that's interesting. Thanks for this information. Lately I've been suspecting that I have some distant Ruthenian ancestors - but it's just speculation.
